PROJECT

HOTEL SISI
Brand Identity

Hotel Sisi is a fictional design hotel in Merano, developed during my graphic design apprenticeship at Heads Corporate Branding in Zurich. The brief was to create a distinctive brand identity for a historic hotel once visited by Empress Elisabeth of Austria, combining its heritage with a contemporary approach to hospitality.

CONCEPT

The concept draws on the tension within Sisi’s public image: beauty and representation contrasted with discipline, withdrawal and a sense of distance. A fragmented star, derived from her iconic appearance, became the central visual element. It reflects both glamour and control while creating a contemporary interpretation of the hotel’s historical connection.

IDENTITY

The star is combined with an elegant serif typeface and a restrained palette of warm browns and soft greys, balancing historical character with modern simplicity. The identity extends across stationery, signage, packaging, merchandise, digital applications and a launch campaign, creating a consistent visual world throughout the guest experience.
