PROJECT

La Paulée de Zurich
Brand Identity

I was commissioned to develop a new visual identity for La Paulée de Zurich, a wine event inspired by the tradition of Burgundy. The aim was to create an identity that feels refined and distinctive, while avoiding an overly formal or traditionally masculine expression.

CONCEPT

The identity combines French wine culture with a strong local reference to Zurich. Its central symbol is an interpretation of Karl Geiser’s “Schreitender Löwe”, a sculpture located in Zurich. The lion was redrawn as an elegant graphic illustration, retaining the proud character of the original while giving it a lighter and more contemporary expression

IDENTITY

The illustrated lion is paired with a classical typographic wordmark and developed into a flexible visual system. The colour palette takes inspiration from French heraldry, translating its blue, white and red into more muted tones for a refined contemporary appearance. The lion can appear as a standalone symbol, as part of the logo or as a repeating pattern across menus, pins, stationery and event applications.
